REFUTING NOVAK'S "EXPLANATION"

Yesterday, Robert Novak, the conservative columnist who got the whole CIA leak scandal going by naming Valerie Plame as an operative back in July, wrote a new column trying to put a happier face on the whole affair. Fortunately, we have Eschaton out there to refute the bogus "explanation."

Here Atrios shows why it is absurd to claim that everybody knew that Plame was CIA. Here Atrios shows that former Ambassador Wilson was no partisan Democrat with a political grudge. Here is a short free-form bashing of Novak.

The right-wing Sith lord mind-tricks are starting to wear off.
