LONGHORNS GO TO ROSE BOWL

After being among the top college football teams in the country for several seasons, coach Mack Brown's Longhorns were rewarded with a major bowl bid Sunday, and it is historically significant.

Texas accepted an offer to play Michigan in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day, which will mark the first matchup between the storied programs, and Texas' first appearance in the granddaddy of all bowl games.
