COMPARATIVE FILM THEORY 101

This video of tonight's spectacular airplane arrival of our AWOL leader kind of reminds me of the extended airplane arrival of Adolph Hitler during the opening scene of Triumph of the Will--here is a short Quicktime clip (it may take a moment to load).

For some reason, I just can't stop thinking about this campaign ad from 1988, but in reverse, if you get my drift.

Now, students, what conclusions can we draw from a comparison of these three films?
